Fiona Tipping, the trainer at Silver Surfer School SA, is a former editorial graphic artist who was one of the pioneers of infographics in South Africa during the mid-80s. With three decades of experience in digital and print media, she embraced new technology with ease during her tenure at Business Day and the Sunday Times.

Noticing a distinct lack of patient, easy-to-understand training for older users of smart gadgets and the Internet, Fiona has set out to help those people get to grips with new technology.
